What We Do

No two projects are the same. We begin each project by understanding the project purpose and priorities as well as the regulations governing the project. Based upon our vast experience, we will develop a unique solution that fits the client’s needs and schedule.

Serving the needs of both the public and private sector clientele since 1977, McMillen Engineering has a solid working and respectable relationship with various local, state, and federal agencies and departments; thus, allowing us to become “your voice” when working through the planning and permitting process. Over the years, regulations at the municipal and county levels began to interconnect with basic land survey and land development; thus, we expanded our professional services to meet the ever expanding regulations and needs of our clients.

The challenges and opportunities confronting local and county governments today should not go unrecognized and proper planning needs to occur with professionals to assure the best interest of the Client, county, municipality, and/or community. Our goal is to accomplish the Client’s project within the letter and intent of laws and regulations, thus providing a benefit to the project and community.

Grant writing is a specialty of McMillen Engineering as we have secured grants at the state and federal levels. As grant monies become more competitive, the application must “stand on its own” for consideration and we have developed solid working relationship with various funding agencies.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania mandated the building code in all municipalities for both residential and non-residential construction. McMillen Engineering has staff certified by Labor and Industry to issue building permits, review plans, and perform inspections. We are a registered third party inspection agency with Labor and Industry.
