McMillen Engineering, Inc. is a veteran-owned, full-service civil engineering and land surveying firm in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.  Our work spans service areas within civil engineering, land surveying, land development, traffic engineering, building projects, municipal and county projects, residential and commercial building code inspection, and grant writing.
Our comprehensive civil engineering services position us to assist you with building and infrastructure construction projects from inception through final completion, then provide ongoing maintenance for your project. As civil engineers, it is our duty to ensure the safe completion of every project, regardless of type – facilities, bridges, roads, water, or sewage.

Identifying boundaries is critical prior to beginning any new project. Our team of land surveyors perform various types of surveys to locate, measure, and map properties of land and accurately determine boundaries. In addition to land boundary surveys and topographic surveys, our surveyors are qualified to complete ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys and ALTA/NSPS As-Built Surveys.

Whether you’re a land or real estate developer, our proficiency in base mapping and preparing plans for land development, building permits, stormwater, and erosion control will prove to be resourceful to you. We’ve completed several land development projects for business park developers and individual retailers.

As municipal engineers for various townships and municipalities, we work to ensure the proper completion of several types of projects. Some notable improvement projects have included culvert replacements, streambank stabilizations, retaining wall designs, and structural inspections of bridges.

We are a Certified Third Party Agency with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry to provide Uniform Construction Code (UCC) services to local governments for the issuance of building permits, to review plans, and to complete required inspections for residential and commercial projects.

Our experience securing local, state, and federal grant monies means that we’re also equipped to assist with the grant seeking process for various types of projects.

Our professional staff of civil engineers, land surveyors, technicians, building code inspectors, and support personnel have been serving the public and private sector since 1977.

We approach each job with accuracy and integrity. Our team members – many of whom have been with us long-term – are dedicated to the successful completion of each clients’ projects.
