BUILDING CODE

At McMillen Engineering, we understand the complexities and importance of building codes in the construction process. Our team includes a dedicated Building Code Official who specializes in navigating the intricacies of building codes and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

As a Pennsylvania certified third-party agency providing Uniform Construction Code (UCC) services, McMillen Engineering performs code work for opt-in and opt-out municipalities in Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. Our building code official oversees our team of certified building code inspectors who perform multi-disciplinary inspections for residential and commercial projects.

We also work closely with clients to ensure that their projects meet the necessary building code requirements. From the initial design phase to the final construction, our team provides guidance and expertise to ensure that all aspects of the project align with the applicable building codes.

Our Building Code Official stays up-to-date with the latest building code updates and can provide valuable insights and recommendations throughout the construction process. STORMWATER REVIEW

At McMillen Engineering, we have extensive experience in stormwater management. Our team understands the importance of minimizing the environmental impact and ensuring regulatory compliance in stormwater management projects.

CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

At McMillen Engineering, our code enforcement officers (also known as building inspectors) ensure that all local building codes, zoning regulations, and other ordinances are strictly followed within a specific jurisdiction. Their primary role is to enforce these codes and regulations in order to maintain the safety, functionality, and overall integrity of buildings and properties.

We conduct thorough inspections of various structures, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties. During these inspections, we carefully assess the adherence to building codes and identify any violations or non-compliance issues. In cases where violations are found, code enforcement officers have the authority to issue citations and penalties.

 

Our building inspectors also work closely with property owners to address any non-compliance issues and ensure that necessary corrective actions are taken. We provide guidance and assistance to help property owners rectify any violations and bring their properties up to the required standards.

MUNICIPAL ENGINEER

We also have a proven track record of securing grants for numerous projects on behalf of municipalities, municipal authorities, and non-profits. Over the years we’ve secured several grants for municipalities to complete various types of roadway improvement and historic restoration projects.

LAND SURVEYS

Our team of land surveyors is highly experienced in conducting ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, which are crucial to the commercial real estate process and ALTA/NSPS As-Built Land Title Surveys to identify any enhancements or modifications made to a property. Both types of surveys allow us to appropriately identify your property's legal boundaries.
