MUNICIPAL & cOUNTY
Working as municipal engineer and having a member of our staff as a former county planning director, McMillen Engineering understands the challenges and opportunities that local governments experience daily.

We have established professional relationships with local, county, state, and federal elected officials. As a Pennsylvania certified third-party agency providing Uniform Construction Code (UCC) services, McMillen Engineering performs code work for opt-in and opt-out municipalities in Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. Our building code official oversees our team of certified building code inspectors who perform multi-disciplinary inspections for residential and commercial projects.
Our work with municipalities extends beyond building code services. We also have a proven track record of securing grants for numerous projects on behalf of municipalities, municipal authorities, and non-profits. Over the years we’ve secured several grants for municipalities to complete various types of roadway improvement and historic restoration projects.
Our reputation endures because of our honesty with and respect for our clients. We take pride in our work and ensure that we’re executing needs-based, long-term solutions for infrastructure problems confronting municipal clients. Likewise, our clients turn to us for guidance on matters that require intense complexity and aggressive scheduling.
Our broad range of capabilities exists because of our team’s diverse areas of expertise, their skilled ability to collaborate with clients, and their dedication to our overall company objectives.
